The Digital Media Intern works under the direct supervision of the Development Coordinator. The responsibilities of the Digital Media Intern include managing agency communications, and capturing photos and videos on behalf of the agency. The Digital Media Intern plays a major role in the day to day operation of GRACE’s development initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Coordinates GRACE’s social media platform schedules and strategizes on content with the Development Team 
• Creates appealing graphics using Canva for use on multiple social media platforms
• Captures photos and videos for agency use in communications 
• Coordinates, prepares, and manages agency communications including social media, email campaigns, and website updates.
• Assists in the development of branded materials for events and initiatives.

Secondary Responsibilities: 

• Edits photos and videos using Adobe Creative Cloud 
• Travels to events to take photos and videos

Physical Demands: 

• Light physical demands (lots of listening, some talking, and more listening. Working on the computer and phone. Driving to appointments and events. Lifting light equipment/materials, and occasionally working long days, nights, or weekends).

Requirements: 

• Understands social media and website effectiveness in the context of nonprofit donor and stakeholder development
• Knowledge of Google Suite
• Strong organizational and communication skills (written & oral)
• Ability to interact with all persons in a professional manner encompassing behavior, dress, language, and attitude. 
• Knowledge of nonprofit organizations and homeless services is a plus
• Knowledge of Office Suite is a plus
