Serve a Meal

The dedicated staff, guests, and volunteers at GRACE have served over 650,000 meals since 2014, but we need your help to keep it going. Our most critical need at GRACE is for volunteer groups to purchase and prepare dinner in our facility for about 200 guests per meal.

You will be guided by one of our enthusiastic Café 131 staff members from start to finish, and the menu can be as simple or as creative as you like. The Café 131 kitchen facility is fully stocked with commercial appliances and plenty of room for up to 10 volunteers to pitch in.

Please read through our Meal Group Information Packet before signing up your group. To make shopping a breeze, we also make pre-planned meal packages available — your ingredients will arrive at GRACE on the day of your meal, ready for you to cook.

To serve a meal, please email or call Abigail at 352-792-0800 ext 104 with the following info:

  1. The name of your organization or group.
  2. The name and phone number of your group's coordinator.
  3. The date and meal you would like to serve.
  4. The number of volunteers in your group and if any volunteers are under 18 years old.
  5. The time your group plans to arrive at GRACE.
  6. Your menu idea or meal package selection.

Children over the age of 14 are welcome to help, but each minor must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Minors must not make up more than half of any group.
