HURRICANE DORIAN UPDATE #3 (9/4/2019; 2:15pm) FINAL UPDATE

GRACE will resume normal operating procedures effective immediately. Our emergency storm shelter is now closed and our gates will close at 7pm tonight. As a reminder our campus is open to the public from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week.

Thank you to the community for their support leading up to Hurricane Dorian.

 

HURRICANE DORIAN UPDATE #2 (8/30/19; 12:38pm)

GRACE will activate its emergency protocols on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. and open our emergency storm shelter for people without housing in Alachua County. During the storm, GRACE will operate above capacity to provide food, shelter, and other services to our homeless community.

- The Emergency Storm Shelter will open on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 7 pm. Our gates will remain open until the storm passes and people can return safely to where they were before. - We are coordinating with local outreach teams to notify homeless people outside of GRACE and Dignity Village that shelter will be available. - There will be a pet-friendly building thanks to our wonderful partners at Home Van Pet Care Project Inc.

 

Hurricane Dorian Update #1 (8/29/2019; 9:17am)

We are actively monitoring Hurricane Dorian as it threatens to impact our area. As of now we are operating business as usual. Stay tuned to Facebook for updates. We will post details regarding emergency storm shelter openings as we have information.
